German Patents Legal Status Monitoring...Now Easy

German Patent Office has started new service "DPMAkurier", an individual supply service sending out automated messages via e-mail. This service is provided free of charge and available upon first-time registration and submission of a valid e-mail address.

The German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) has established this service for individual inventors and small and medium enterprises, in particular, to help them get started with regular IPR watches and easy monitoring of selected IPtitles.

The "Overview supply services" page, opened after a successful login toDPMAkurier, provides access to the following options:
 
For patents, utility models, supplementary protection certificates and topographies:
  •         Legal status monitoring by file number or publication number
  •         Monitoring by International Patent Classification (IPC)
  •         Monitoring by applicant/owner/inventor
  •         Subscription to Patentblatt PDF (patent gazette)
For trade marks:
  •         Legal status monitoring by file number or register number
  •         Monitoring by Nice Classification
  •         Monitoring by proprietor
  •         Subscription to Markenblatt PDF (trade mark journal)
For designs:
  •         Legal status monitoring by file number or design number
  •         Monitoring by class of goods
  •         Monitoring by owner
  •         Subscription to Geschmacksmuste
