Amazing!! Today I have found a patent (WO2005049105) with 17517 claims. The PDF consists of 3372 pages. Its really hard, how one can write patent like this. Its size is more than 114 Mb.

The patent was filed by ANGIOTECH INTERNATIONAL AG on 10th Nov. 2004, relating to MEDICAL IMPLANTS AND ANTI-SCARRING AGENTS

However, despite this acceptance, analysis of recent trends reveals that the physical properties of molecules that are currently being synthesized in leading drug discovery companies differ significantly from those of recently discovered oral drugs and compounds in clinical development. The consequences of the marked increase in lipophilicity — the most important drug-like physical property — include a greater likelihood of lack of selectivity and attrition in drug development.
